BOSTON – A Brockton man was sentenced in federal court in Boston this week for failing to register as a sex offender.Charles Towers, 52, was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Leo T. Sorokin to two years in prison and five years of supervised release.Towers is required to register as a sex offender based on a 2009 conviction in San Diego Superior Court of attempted forcible oral copulation.
